Cookie Policy

WhizzTalk uses very little browser storage, and none of it for advertising. There are no third-party advertising or tracking cookies anywhere on this site or in the embeddable chat widget. This page lists every entry we set.

1. On this website and your dashboard

All of these are either strictly necessary to sign you in or a preference you set yourself. We use no analytics, profiling, or advertising cookies, and we don't share any of this with third parties.

2. In the embeddable chat widget

When a business embeds the WhizzTalk widget on their site, the widget sets no cookies at all. It uses a few local-storage entries on the visitor's own device, each scoped to that business's widget key:

cfs-session-<widget key>	Holds the current conversation's id so the chat can be resumed if the page is reloaded. Cleared when the visitor clears the chat or the conversation ends.
cfs-lang-<widget key>	The language the visitor chose for the widget interface.
cfs-fontsize-<widget key>	The text size the visitor chose inside the widget.
cfs_tr_…	A local cache of already-translated interface strings, so the same text isn't translated repeatedly.

None of these are used to track a visitor across websites — they are readable only by the site the widget is embedded on, and they carry no advertising identifier.

3. Managing them

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time from your browser's settings, and block cookies for this site entirely — though blocking the strictly necessary ones means you won't be able to sign in. Clearing the widget's entries simply starts the next conversation fresh.

4. If you embed the widget

Because the widget sets no cookies and stores only what the visitor themselves chose, it does not by itself require a consent banner on your site. Your own site's cookie notice should still mention the local storage above if you list storage in detail — you can link to this page. What your flow asks visitors for is a separate question, covered on our Compliance page.
